"Like a bat out of hell I'll be gone when the morning comes"

Ozzy bit the head off an unconscious bat on stage in Des Moines, Iowa on this day in 1982 thinking it was one of his rubber fakes. Later he went to hospital for a rabies vaccination...perhaps the bat was the one needing a shot!
